Evening and weekend service
Gece Metrosu (Night Metro)
On Friday and Saturday nights some metro lines run 24 hours as the “Gece Metrosu” (Night Metro), so you can travel through the night all weekend without interruption.
On other days services generally run 06:00–00:00. Check metro.istanbul for the current list of lines included in the Night Metro.
Special situations
Temporary closures
During maintenance or construction, services may end early on some evenings or stations may close temporarily. Check metro.istanbul before you set out.
Extra services
For big matches and events, extra services are added on the relevant lines; stations can be crowded when an event ends.
M11 and M4
M11 serves İstanbul Airport and M4 serves Sabiha Gökçen. Plan your flight around the last-train times; for late nights the Havaist buses are an alternative.
Fri–Sat
On weekend nights some lines run 24 hours; the list of participating lines may change over time.

- Exact times: times vary by station — check the platform screens or metro.istanbul.
- Last train: plan a late-night return in advance; the route planner shows the estimated arrival time.
- Transfers: transfers made within 90 minutes with İstanbulkart are discounted — one card is enough for most journeys.
- Airport: M11 (İstanbul Airport) and M4 (Sabiha Gökçen) run 06:00–00:00; for early/late flights consider the Havaist buses.
- Night Metro: on Friday and Saturday nights some lines are open 24 hours.
